Terms of service
The agreement between you and this site. Last updated 14 September 2026.
1. What the service is
AI Transcript reads the publicly available caption track of a video you link to and displays it as a transcript. It is provided free of charge, with no account and no guarantee of availability.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Automate requests at a rate that degrades the service for others, or work around the rate limit.
- Use the service to infringe anyone's copyright or other rights.
- Attempt to access videos you are not entitled to view.
- Resell, rebrand or present the service as your own.
3. Content and copyright
Transcripts are derived from caption tracks published by the video platform. That content belongs to whoever owns the video — not to us, and not to you by virtue of having extracted it. You are responsible for using it lawfully: quoting, studying and accessibility are generally fine; republishing someone else's work as your own is not. We do not host or store any of this content.
4. Accuracy
Transcripts are only as accurate as the captions they come from, and automatic captions make mistakes with names, numbers, jargon and overlapping speech. Check anything you intend to rely on against the audio — the timestamps exist precisely to make that quick.
5. Availability
The service depends on a third-party platform that can change how it serves captions at any time, without notice. Interruptions are expected rather than exceptional. We provide no uptime guarantee and may change or withdraw features.
6. Advertising
The service is funded by adverts served by third parties. Their content is not ours and is not an endorsement. See the privacy policy for how their cookies work.
7. No warranty, limited liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it — including loss caused by an inaccurate transcript or by the service being unavailable.
8. Changes to these terms
These terms may change; the date at the top will change with them. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. Questions: [email protected].
